Step out of the daily grind each Wednesday in April for a midweek lunch hour to relax, refresh, and renew yourself with some of our area’s best musicians on stage at the lush, green Palace Park at 220 DeSiard Street (beside the old Palace Department Store). Public parking is available on the street and at 4th and DeSiard Street. Round up your friends, bring a picnic of your favorites, or treat yourself to a $6 box lunch, with tea, on site from Newk’s Eatery. Mulhearn’s will again provide free cookies to make the events extra sweet! Picnic blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged! Of course, the performances are FREE, thanks to our sponsors Mulhearn’s, Newk’s Eatery, The Palace, Paramount Healthcare Consultants of West Monroe, Northeast Delta Human Services Authority, First Horizon Bank, and the City of Monroe. Here’s who’s on stage: We’ll kick off the Series with an area favorite! SmackWater (featuring Steve Cagle, Mike Weathersby, Phil Welch, and Richard McClain) provides the soundtrack for numerous area events and festivals – anywhere fun and music are found. They’ll bring their truly versatile playlist of classic rock, R&B, Louisiana Soul, Swamp Pop, Funk, Soul, and Country to give us a lively start to the Series.
