Roxanne Santos is a poet, vocalist, artist, and arts educator in Monroe, Louisiana. She is a native of north Louisiana and a graduate of the University of Louisiana of Monroe. She enjoys many forms of creating, including painting, crochet, jewelry making, collage, embroidery, and sewing. She is also an avid writer of poetry as a form of self-care. Her poetry is centered around deeply personal experiences as she learns to find oneness with her higher power, consolidate her past, and move with confidence toward a more hopeful future. Over the last decade, she has hosted various literary and visual arts workshops for teens and adults in the region.
